Meet the Team on a Mission.

We are a tight-knit team with a common passion for providing outstanding training for our Manufacturing Supervisors.

At Tools for the Trenches our Mission is Simple: Make Your Manufacturing
Supervisors into Manufacturing Experts!

WHY? It’s about factory workers and their families!
At T4T we care about the wellbeing of every factory worker and their families. Manufacturing plants employ nearly 13 million workers in the US alone. Financially healthy factories provide stable employment for plant employees, and employees with secure jobs provide food, housing and education for their families. Communities are strengthened.  We are passionate about our “Why”!

 HOW? It’s about Factory Leadership.
The more supervisors know, the better they perform and the better they perform, the more productive and profitable the manufacturing companies become.
Tools for the Trenches provides an extremely effective, flexible, and affordable method to develop the expertise of your Manufacturing Supervisors.

A Shared Commitment: Let’s make a commitment together to provide stable incomes for our factory workers by developing supervisor expertise and strong bottom-line results.

T4T is the only fully online training

exclusively designed BY a Manufacturing leader FOR Manufacturing leaders.

Kelly Joyce Instructional Designer

Director of Educational Development and Instructional Course Design

Kelly Joyce

Kelly's expertise is education, a field she has been in for 2 decades.  Certified in Education from West Chester University she has spent over two decades in secondary education and holds two Master's Degrees. With her masters in Digital Learning and Leading, Kelly's vision became using technology to impart training and to reach others with knowledge that will impact their lives and careers.  Online education is the future, but there are many courses that are less than helpful in truly developing a leader into an expert.  Kelly welcomed the challenge of crafting an engaging and smooth experience for our leaders as they progress through each level of our CML courses, building lasting knowledge and experiencing success in the workplace.  Kelly is constantly improving and reiterating the design and structure of the courses in such a way as to optimize and support the learning experiences of our T4T students.  Her vision is to see hundreds of thousands of supervisors become trained and empowered to lead with confidence and expertise, establishing their career and strengthening our manufacturing industry.

Read more about T4T's Manufacturing Expert and Founder below.

I have immensely enjoyed my 40-year career in this amazing field. It all began when I worked various manufacturing jobs to help put myself through college. Then, after graduating from Widener, I had a few interviews with large banks. Talk about a square peg in a round hole – none of these interviews went well. But when I interviewed with a Fortune 500 snack food manufacturer for a supervisor role, the interviews went smooth as butter. I then realized that I truly belonged in the manufacturing field. Ever since, manufacturing has been my Home-Sweet-Home and I love every part of it. I especially enjoy working with the shop floor employees and mentoring manufacturing leaders.

Since my first night-shift supervisor position, I have enjoyed long standing employment with some excellent companies and was promoted into a variety of roles, including Department Manager, PPIC Manager, Operations Manager, Global OPEX Manager, Plant Manager and Director of Manufacturing.

My specialty is in fixing broken operations, which I’ve done most of my career. Ultimately, my reward has always been the sense of pride that comes from favorably trending metrics and bottom-line profit trends.  I am still pursuing this today by helping to train and develop strong manufacturing leaders - because when they succeed, the company succeeds.

Tools for the Trenches
